Birds of A Feather Flock Together

We are very excited to announce our new series of roving reporters! Let's face it, we can't be everywhere but we sure do have good friends that can be! Our first Life-Styled contributor is Jennifer Sweeney and she is reporting back from Frankfurt, Germany after an exciting Heimtextil show. Jennifer shares with us some of the wallcovering and textile trends spotted at Heimtextil:

Peacocks were popular and interpreted in all different ways. The bird and its feathers, were seen in both stylized and realistic ways.

Peacock Feathers were seen in various ways including luxurious, contemporary, and watercolor looks.

Butterflies may not have feathers but the details in their wings were seen as a trend throughout Heimtextil.

Also, the butterfly itself was a focal point.

Dandeloins were also seen throughout the show. And, again, played with photo realistic and art versions of the flower.

On a different and unrelated to nature note, black and white famous old Hollywood figures and faces were shown in all different formats. Love the Bardot and Marilyn tributes!

Americana

With President’s Day coming up in this election year, we look to our nation’s favorite combination, Americana. We are seeing a craze for Red, White and Blue and we like it. Whether used with nostalgic, classic or Presidential motifs this combo is the “it” right now.
